Volunteers are vital team members who help welcome, support, and celebrate newcomers in our communities. We have a variety of volunteer opportunity available, from one-time to longer term commitments, in both one-on-one and group programs. To learn more or apply to volunteer in any of the following programs, please submit a Volunteer Application.
All Volunteers will have to complete the screening and intake process, including criminal record/vulnerable sector checks. Final placements will be confirmed by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Classroom Helpers
Classroom Helpers support learning in our EAL and Adult Literacy classes at Regional Connections. Large class sizes and diverse learning needs can mean volunteer Classroom Helpers are a significant support for our certified instructors and for newcomer learners as they work to improve their English skills. If English is not your first language, CLB 6+ is required.

Special Events
Regional Connections works with community partners to deliver Special Events regularly, including community cultural festivals, sports and activity orientation sessions, arts and crafts activities, and more! Volunteers for Special Events usually help one time for that particular event.
