Our Settlement Program helps newcomers get started in Canada. From your first days in the community through to your long-term goals, we can help provide key information, helpful resources, and connect you to other services and supports. We also help individuals and families connect to the community – find things to do, meet new people, celebrate cultures, and feel at home in your new life in Canada.
Are you new to Regional Connections? All newcomers coming to Regional Connections for the first time need to make an appointment with a Settlement Worker. At your first appointment, a Settlement Worker will talk to you about your goals and needs, develop a settlement plan, and connect you to services and resources in Regional Connections and the community.
Do you have questions about life in Canada? We provide information and referrals for: Getting Started in Canada, Health, Education, Money and Finances, Housing, Employment, Laws, Your Community, and much more. Services are for individuals, families, and groups.

Connecting with people and your new community are important steps in the settlement process. Make new friends, find fun things to do, and feel more at home through our Community Connections events and activities.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive! Learn about our Childcare, HIPPY Home Visitor, and Settlement Workers In Schools programs that support newcomer children, youth, and families with essential services and fun activities.
Immigration and starting a new life can be difficult experiences. Our team of experienced professionals support newcomer well being and peace of mind for happier, healthier communities.
