Are you new to Regional Connections? All newcomers coming to Regional Connections for the first time need to make an appointment with a Settlement Worker. At your first appointment, a Settlement Worker will talk to you about your goals and needs, develop a settlement plan, and connect you to services and resources in Regional Connections and the community.

Needs Assessment & Settlement Plan
During your first appointment at Regional Connections, a Settlement Worker will:
- Welcome and register you
- Talk to you about your questions, needs, and goals for your life in Canada
- Develop a settlement plan with you
- Connect you to other Regional Connections services such as Employment, Language, Child & Youth, and Community Connection programs
- Connect you to community and government resources such as Manitoba Health, banks and credit unions, schools, Manitoba Public Insurance, rental agencies and realtors (apartments and housing), financial assistance, and more
